The Minnesota State Volleyball program strives to recruit the highest caliber of student-athlete. Our program has become successful on the talents and efforts of individuals who seek challenges both athletically and academically. Most recently our program has tallied a 24-6 record, achieved a top 16 national ranking, a berth in the North Central Regional Semi-Finals, 2 All-Americans, 1 North Central Region All-Tournament Team Selection, 4 All-Region selections, and 4 All-Conference selections. While at the same time, academically, the team has earned Academic All-Conference honors, Academic All-American honors, been awarded the MSU Presidential Scholarship, and had 7 members earn Dean's List, including 1 perfect 4.0. Over the past 5 years we have emphasized recruiting and evaluation of players to primarily the Junior Olympic club season. We do attempt to see as many high school matches as possible, however, the fall season is an extremely busy time for us in our program as well. We have found that the players that play club volleyball in the spring have a high degree of dedication to the sport, solid time management skills, a high level of skill development, and the competitive drive to be successful at the collegiate level. Some of the major tournaments that we recruit each year are the President's Day Festival, Northern Lights Qualifier, Indianapolis Qualifier, Cross Roads Qualifier, ASICS Championships, and the USAV Nationals. We also attempt to see a number of additional tournaments in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota, as well as our home state of Minnesota.
