Gilbertville, IA:  Home of the Susanna (Simmerl) and Frank Youngblut Family 

Gilbertville, Iowa, is located off Hwy. 381 just outside Waterloo, Iowa.  This is where Susanna Simmerl and her husband, Frank Youngblut, settled and raised their family.   At the right is the Cornerstone Tavern on Main Street--an example of Luxembourger architecture in Gilbertville. cornerstone.jpg (33873 bytes)
